Awesome buck!!! But how did *censored* get twisted about it being 200, none the less 220? Like said a 170 main frame with some extras.
An awesome archery buck regardless

If that's a 170 frame I'll eat my hat.

What kind of hat is it?  You think it's bigger or smaller than 170?

Nice buck Congrats to the hunter! If that is where the deer died at it looks like it would of been a hard area to get in range with a bow.

No doubt the guys at advantage will do a great job . they are
mule deer speacialist and are pretty good on elk too.! congrats to the hunter .

I am hoping they are better taxidermists than scorers.

Bone first of all nice  40 inch buck . What I can say about advantage taxidermy is Chuck Berg takes alot of pride in his work and does a mullie justace if he scored the buck I would trust it as ridge said and we all know pic can be desieving that buck had deep forks for sure. It makes me think of a buck I saw acouple of years ago and had just over 200 field judged , maybe that old boy was bigger than I thaught . anyway we are due for some of BONES field pics arn't we ?

Some of you guys act like this claim is some sort of personal attack on your manhood or something.  Good lord.

Threads like these are what make me decide to not talk about my hunts on here, let alone share pics of them.   :twocents:

Great buck, I don't give a crap what it scores - it's the buck of a lifetime.  Congrats

Deep forks and tine length account for way more than mass and width in a score. You set that beside a 170 rack and it would dwarf it in my opinion. Very nice buck with any weapon let alone a bow in our state Congrats. nwhunter

Not to smart to cut the cap off, the whole rack will shrink alot more now while drying. Should have left the whole skull, a friend of mine killed a 205" 2 years ago and cut the skull plate off. It shrunk 3 inches in width and 6 off the total gross.

It was 33 and change coach, 40 came from the additonal inches to reach 220.

I am due to get out.  Probably why I am a bit surly.   I am currently in the fall negotiation time with the Mrs.  This year the union isn't budgeing.  :)   I have ONE day tomorrow after coming off a double today to put together either an elk or a moose adventure, or stay home and get more surly.  We'll see.

Good to hear about the taxidermist.   I don't know his work at all.  I am deadset that this score is false though.  I hear alot of stories of Taxis boosting scores, much like guides do to make their clients happy I guess.   This almost seems like one of those cases.  I hope not.

Cedarpants, I don't tend to spread misinformation.   It has nothing to do with manhood.  Claiming an awsome buck is one thing.  Claiming a 200+ state record, or a 220 inch buck for that matter is another.   That is indeed an awesome buck with a bow.  You'd think I might understand that wouldn't you.  I'd be giddy as a little schoolgirl to see that buck and or to tag it.   That doesn't make it the STATE RECORD.

Bigtine is correct, except I expect this one to shrink about 30 inches instead of 6.
