« on: September 26, 2012, 01:51:08 PM »
Yes!!!  I just past the goose ID test now I get to hunt them this year.  I live in sw Wa and now all I need to do is find where I can kill some lol.  My Son and I are so stoked to try something new this year and hope to kill a couple ducks and geese :IBCOOL:

Is this test a new thing  :dunno: I never had to take one, and I have never heard of it either. Although it is a good idea because I have seen guys shoot at swans, and think that they are snow geese  :yike: :bdid:

It's only if you hunt in SW WA in units 2A or 2B. It's because of the ill-fated Dusky.

I think SW and NW Oregon are the only ones required to take a test like this in the nation.  It was due to natural causes and they have found that their are 7 sub species of them, so they are try to keep the duskies around despite all odds.  The are trying to get around natural selection.  When I was a kid we didn't see to many geese in the area, now they are like flies.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!
