As of right now, according to the recording ALL of the Mt. St. Helens Tree Farm is closed to ALL public access including hunting.
We need some wet weather to get things opened up, or my muzzy cow tag is junk.

Which unit is your cow permit for? We have Winston permits, and have been looking at other locations where we can hunt the general season. It's going to take a lot of rain for Weyerhaeuser to open it up, and I sure don't see it in the forecast. I'm betting it will still be closed for modern firearm deer season as well. We thought about calling and checking into turning in the permits and hopefully having our points restored.

With weather changing almost by the minute here in the northwest here is the weather forcast. Never know, but it seems like weather men are always late as to when systems push in. We may get some some rain earlier, rather than later in the week. I have been doing my rain dance all week

Even if it started raining today, it probably wouldn't be enough for Weyerhaeuser to re-open the tree farm by October 6th. It would take some serious rain for that, and from the sound of it, when it does come it will only be "showers".

Keep danceing it looks like it might be working. Week an a half we might get lucky.

Trust me, if they open it to walk in access only, you all will have a great time! Nobody has been in there messing with the elk since the first week of archery. Good luck and I hope you all get to get in there.
