There's a pic on here called Incentive tag, but I heard it was the Teanaway Rut Tag.

Well, unless they are hunting the Teanaway side of 97, Yesterday was the 1st day they could get into the East end of the Colockum.  It had been closed before that due to the fires..
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

That would be some nasty hunting with all the smoke and fire crews up in there.  We could hardly breath the smoke was so thick last weekend near Cle Elum when the wind was from the east.

Like to hear a report from anyone that got up in that area in the last few days as to the viability of the hunting.  when I was over there and Liberty was on a class 3 evac the entrie top of Table Mountain and south over Deer Gulch looked like heck from the distance.

Talked to the DNR LEO officer up there today....

Basically everthing on the RIGHT going up the Colockum Road is open.. Everything on the LEFT is closed.... Fines are very steep for being caught on the left side, and there are NO WARNINGS per the officer... you are caught, you get fined.

How tough is a muzzy cow tag gonna be with the fires??  Should I try to get my sons points back before the season starts?  This is supposed to be his first elk :dunno: :dunno:
