Spotting scope case
« on: September 27, 2012, 06:07:23 PM »
I am looking for a carry case for my spotting scope.  Soft padded with shoulder strap would be best.  I thought of something like a large hangun case but couldnt find one.  I dont want to carry it in my hunting pack if I can avoid that.   My tripod I can strap down to my hunting pack and not worry about it.  I checked Wholesale Sports but nothing there.  Any ideas??

I have one of these Badlands Hypervent packs.  Scope pouch accepts my Nikon 20x60x82mm Prostaff scope which is 15.4 inches long x 4.5 inches wide.  Tripod attaches easily to an outside holder.  Love not only having it with me, but also the protection afforded the scope.  Think Badlands has discontinued it, but should be a few around somewhere.

I have the same scope and this is what I use.  It is made by Snugfit (just in case the link doesn't work).  When in transit in the truck or the side by side it rides in this case.  It has d-rings that you could attach a strap to.   It also has buckles that attach to the roll bar of my Ranger.  Once on foot it goes into the outer pocket of my Nimrod scabbard.  My brother-in-law and I have the same scabbards so one of us carries the spotter and the other carries the tripod.  I just got a Promaster carbon fiber tripod that fits into the same pocket.  Can't wait to use it in a couple of weeks!

My ZEN ED2 82mm HD spotter comes with a padded see-through case.  Very nice. I don't know if they sell separately.  I didn't know mine comes with a soft case, almost pulled  a trigger on a Kowa scope for $160
