Domestic Rabbits
« on: September 29, 2012, 06:56:43 PM »
Are there any good spots for Domestic Rabbit that anyone would care to share? I'm trying to train a sighthound (whippet) pup and would like to occasionally take a few as training material for him. Do the domestics burrow into warrens here like they do in the UK? anyone use ferrets to catch em?

cheers

Domestic usually means tame or in cages. Are you talking about native wild rabbits?
The first bird may get the worm, but it's the second rat that gets the cheese.

Lots of them on various islands in the San Juans, unfortunately the mink have thrashed them around my place and we don't hunt them anymore.

There are about 10 "domestic" rabbits running around my neighborhood in Lynnwood.  Unfortunately there are houses everywhere nowhere to run them.  See them at dawn and dusk in peoples yards, crossing the street, etc.  Probably a big part of the reason that the neighbor came by yesterday when I was working outside to tell me he saw a coyote run across the street the other day.
