manastash. SLOWWWWW

  Been here since thurs and have not seea an elk.  Brother in law comes tommorow with a cow tag.  Anyone see any anywhere?  Ive been hunting south of tammarack springs.

If I come up tomorrow, I'll keep an eye out.  Its still in debate of what tomorrow might bring for me.  Some where from chores, to work to my vacation day I had planned for moose.   Note there aren't many moose up Manastash. :chuckle:

I did meet another member up there on the mountain.  Apparantly my life saga is well known.  I mentioned not being able to look for moose because of my girls and soccer and he knew instantly who I was :chuckle:

Its about as fricken dry as it gets up there and with all the dead trees.  Just feels weird to be in the woods

It's a bit up from where you are, but we did good for archery up on quartz and frost.  Head down into Hereford meadows and hunt up manashtash ridge, lots of cow talking.

Just got back from Cowiche. Went 5 for 5 on elk. Go find some dark timber away from where people like to go. There will be small pockets of elk. Get the wind right and use the lost cow call. It proved to he deadly on 3 of the 5 elk.
