What about all the dollars that are brought to the Eastside of the state when Fishing and Hunting Seasons are open.  I mean just think of the gas,  food,  lodging,  equipment purchased etc.  I would think that local businesses like the redistribution of money spent in all of the smaller communites.

:yeah: I know that I went to a small restaurant on the East side and the waitress asked us why we were in camo (knowing were weren't from around there). We told her that it was turkey season, and she got very excited!

Sorry guys just needed to vent. good post jackmaster. I get frustrated at times. We need to stick togeater as hunters and I need to always keep that in mind.

What a great statement to make at the end of this thread. Far out, Fishingnut.

This whole thing is funny. I'm an eastsider and have been hunting elk on the west side for the last 10 years. Way better archery opportunities, far less hunters and much better numbers in MHO. The folks over there are just as teratorial, thinking those are "their elk". Grass is always greener I suppose!

that all depends on what folks you talk to, we have are backwoods tothless hillbillies just like the eastside, how have you done the past 10 years over here on the not so wetside? there are good oppurtunities for good bulls over here and definatly alot less bow hunters, you should see it during the rifle season, it is insane, especially around saint helens, ya go to keep your head down thats for sure, good luck dude in the late season if you didnt connect in the early season, the only elk i consider mine are the big boys that hang out in my back yard.....those bulls are off limits  :chuckle:

Nice!! There you go guys, all is better now and we are all getting along again. West side or east side it just doesn't matter if we all stick together and focus on the real issues that are going to kill our great sport. No everyone get out there this weekend and knock something down for the freezer. Good luck to all, be safe and for DAMN sake's don't burn us down. :)
