I currently use 100g of pyrodex pellets. But as soon as I have used them all (I have 15 left) I am switching to 777 loose powder. I will stay with 100grains. Not sure if I will go with fff it ff. Sabotloader which do you recommend. Triple F or Double F powder?
Couple of thoughts...
I use T7-3f in all of my cap guns, but basically because I hunt in really cold weather sometimes sub zero... 3f is easier to ignite and when using caps I really prefer it... If it were not for the cold weather I would use 2f all the time. Also 3f is a bit more energetic than 2f.
Which leads to the next thought... 100 grains of loose T7 will provide more energy than 100 grains of Pyro or Pyro pellets... and of of course with the bullet you are using will handle that just fine.
