Mashel or Vail
« on: October 17, 2012, 05:46:53 PM »
So without the gory life details Grandma and Grandpa are going to watch the boys and the sick wife tomorrow so I can hunt for my birthday  :IBCOOL:
First time back hunting instate in 13 years and have never hunted the northern part of the state (northern=north of St. Helens) I now live in Seattle and after wearing out the sites search engines for a day hunt within a couple hour drive I had settled on going outside of Eatonville then I thought maybe going out through Enumclaw into the Rainier area.  Then I thought maybe I should just be the new guy and go to Vail just so I know I don't want to go back, but might at least get the chance to get shot at... uh... I mean shoot something  :chuckle:
I have a full tank of gas a good pair of boots and from 7pm tonight till midnight tomorrow to do anything I want.
Just a little direction for a good day in the woods for my B-day is all I am really looking for, if I wanted to know which gate to drive to to shoot the deer I know how to get to Vail HAHA

In my experience 654=bigger bucks, 667=more deer. If it were my first time in the area I would be hunting a closed gate in 667

:yeah: and Mashel is 2-point minimum. It should be pretty easy to find a spike in Vail during aid week hunt behind the locked gates.
The best friend a guy could have asked for. RIP chasing pheasants in heaven Denali girl.
