What things have you found out deer hunting THIS year??

Found out that a large four-point and I have unfinished business. Jumped him four times and either his gf gave me away or he was already at full sprint. May end up taking my scope off and using iron sights next time. Furthest shot opportunity was ten yards and couldn't get him in the scope's sight.

I tried to do that but the snow prevented me from making it to the top which would of made my day. Instead I had to turn tail and head to lower ground.

Went out with my ATV club today out of Conconully and picked up all kinds of trash from lazy azz road hunters. Beer cans, beer bottles, chew cans, 16 oz paper cups, receipts for food from fast food places, 1/2 case paper boxes, dirty diapers ( from senior hunters  :chuckle: ), plastic juice bottles, bait jars just to name a few. So I guess, having an ATV to clean lazy azz road hunters messes is a good thing........... Oh, we didn't go behind any gates either locked or unlocked.  :chuckle:
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

Such a righteous sanctimonious example of cultural delusion. You all tread lightly when others are watching eh? I'm convinced that when you buy an atv you are awarded a certificate of brain death.

Today I found out my brand new fancy waterproof pack is not so waterproof! >:( :bash:

And that forgetting your waterproof raingear at home is not a great idea :'( :bash:

And that the non raingear I was wearing takes exactly 30 minutes to completely saturate to the bone :( :bash:

And I also found out that the heater in the ol' truck feels really good when your cold and soaked!
That wasn't me! It was a black Camaro! It went that way!

I found the area I have hunted mulies in for 29 years is nearly devoid of deer, just a whole lot of deer carcasses on the ground.
