Hope thats not setup in a 14 day camp limit area. Youll have to take it down and move elsewhere on the opening day of the hunt.

Nice tent, I have the 10x10, condensation is the only issue.  I will have to try the tarp idea also.  What size is that one?

Another small tip. If you do the tarp, get some recycled golf balls, wad them in the tarp and then tie off to the ball, will not tear the eyelits out that way.

I had the 12x20 for 5 years I t was a great tent , I sold it to buy another canvas but after 1 season in it I decided to buy another alaknak 12x12 this year for a family caming /early archery tent. I picked it up in july and used it 2 times, let a Buddy borrow it and it came back with a hole burned through it  :bash:, luckily the guy who borrowed it is a stand up guy and bought me a brand new one  ...

I got to see one in the field up close and check out the inside and from what I can tell these are definitely worth buying so i'm going to be investing in one here in the very near future.  some good advice with the tarps and the one I was in didn't seem to have that problem at the time but, i will definitely apply the tips though.

Great tents I have the 12x20 I have no real condensation issues unless I use propane to heat.  We had it down the S.E. portion of the state for deer season, and those winds were hitting the high 50s it held together great the vestible is also a good investment.

I think I'd do well to pitch it in my back yard before attempting to do it in the woods.

Lol I though that was a fluke with the no instructions.  I am glad I wasn't the only one looking at that thing crosseyed the first time I put it on the tent.

I owned the 12x20 for years and loved it.  Kept having kids so I upgraded to the 13x27, love it too.  I bought it last year the day of the Seattle Seahawks/Chicago Bears game (the game Cutler missed and the Bears took a serious beating).  Set it up in my front yard right after I bought it just because I wanted to see how big it was.  Ended up bringing out a TV and table, chairs and a cooler full of beer and watched the game right there in my front yard.  Even had a couple neighbors over

Oh ya - they work great in the woods too  :chuckle:

I have had a 12x12 for ten years, I don't have condensation issues unless it is raining like god hates me and I hang gobs of wet clothes in the tent. The wood stove keeps it way cozy dry. I do have a three man limit in my tent though....if you pack them in like illegals in a minivan, I could see issues.
