Did you hunt Teanaway?
« on: October 22, 2012, 03:59:40 PM »
Did you see any turkeys? If so, were they in groups? High up? Low?
Thanks

Do you have a late tag?  If so I would  suggest getting over here and find where they are at.  Do a little home work.
Happiness is being in the woods!!!

That is what I am doing. Pre-scouting homework. The unit is large and there will not be a lot of time.
Due to schedule, I will have only a few hours to scout and one day to hunt.
I have rut hunt whitetail in the blues during the same time period.

Lot of turkey over there, saw 100 or so in the fields as I drove in. I hunted a mix of high/low in Teanaway this year, only turkeys I found while in the woods were low.
I'd try your luck up the gated Storm Creek Rd. right before you cross bridge over the N. Fork of Teanaway. Barring that, try Indian Creek. Good luck.
