Let's play what if..... :chuckle:

And definitely not saying I do or don't, but...

What if I "know a guy" who has the necessary equipment to make the magical clear stuff....
What if he loans out his gear to his friends, and what if I decide to fire up a batch..... what is the best base of ingredients to make the 190? I know traditionally corn is what they use, but that sounds like it might be a low yield compared to cane sugar.... I know if it's made from fruit it's brandy, sugar, rum, and only corn makes true moonshine, but.....I guess what makes it tricky is our pot is only 7 gallons, so.... maybe 2 batches? That might produce a gallon...... (7 gallons sounds like a lot, but your yields range 10:1 to 7:1, usually less).... anybody else "know a guy" who has a suggestion on that matter?

We also had a new micro distillery open up in town and they make shine, but they cut it to either 80 or 100, and while it is good....I want straight liquid panty remover, not cut down....

Time to do a little more research... I can suck down that 70 proof apple pie you get at the store like it's nuthin, so, I think it's time to make some real pie..... I've made peach pie before, that's pretty wicked stuff too (store bought hooch based)

Sounds like a great holiday gift idea...
catch it. kill it. cook it. eat it.
Forget the bear spray, use wasp killer. Concentrated delivery stream, 10X the product, and only $3.00 on sale.

I smoke two fish in the morning, I smoke two fish at night, I smoke two fish in de afternoon makes me feel alright

I know a guy that used to work at a distillery....He says that to get the real high alcohol content to run it all off. then take what you get. and run just that stuff back through. Also he suggests using a valved reflux or a thumper keg...wish he would open a distillery

BevMo in Tacoma has 190 proof Everclear in 750 and 1.5L..... Also make sure you you are using a stainless or enameled stock pot,  aluminum pots will give off a metalic taste to the mix!

Made it myself a number of times.  Very good!  But 3 cups of sugar is waaayy too much for my taste.  I use about 1 cup.

what is the cinnamon stick equivalent in fireball or goldschlager?  I'd like to make mine with fireball instead of the cinnamon sticks but I don't want to add too much.  The wife likes a hint of cinnamon flavor but it gets too much for her VERY quickly
