sold my flyrod to my buddie today. and im FINALLY ready for elk season.

i had to settle for less then awesome equipment but its better then nothing. im grouping good and the broadheads are flying great. 3 arrows setup with fobs and 3 with blazers. and both are grouping about the same out to 40yds.

so expect pics ont he 8th...well ok the 9th cause it gonna take me all day and night to pack and elk out of where ill be hunting.

Great!  Glad tpo hear you got it all sorted out.
I am at a loss for elk.  Shooting okay, but not satisfied and now my buddy got transferred out of state....... So, not sure where I will go or what I will do.

Knock 'em dead!  Looking forward to the pics!

bankwalker,  Im a bowhunter so I am glad you got the equipment, but I am also a fly-fisherman so I am sad to hear that you sold your fly rod.  I would say you made the right choice though.  I envy the both of you, I am stuck in Oklahoma City and wont be home until the 20th of September so that pretty much takes care of my early elk hunt.  Good luck to you both.

yeah i really hated to sell it. but in reality i wouldnt be doing much fly fishing anytime soon and i can always buy newer better fly rods and gear.

i will more then likely. my buddie gave me some yesterday. but they arent really something i wanna hunt with. but funds are way to low to go buy more right now, there was other things that needed to be baught.
