Yep, Swakane, the land of 15-20 deer a day all going 170-180 and you can see them from the road. :chuckle: It is tough steep hunting and the snow does make it better but with all of the fires I actually was hoping for a light winter to make it easier on the deer.  By the looks of things the guys with the rifle permits might want to get up there the first couple weeks of November before it does get snowed in.  The archery guys are probably going to have to walk up because you won't be able or want to try to drive up.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

407......  although I didn't see a damn thing early season.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”

Trying to fill my Entiat Tag for late Season Archery.  Couple buddies might come along and hunt the other side of the river in Swakane.

Man I can not wait ..but it may be tough because if your a Blacktail hunter the rut will be over for the most part ...Unless you hunt up higher in the cascades then it will be good because those high Mt. bucks will not come down until the snow makes them come down ...I shot my bow tonight at 35 yrds and  back on the rack it went !
