Toutle.  Fire danger put the kibosh on the early season, so I'll be looking for cows during a couple of weekend hunts.

I know what I won't be doing thurs, fri, sat thanksgiving weekend....hunting! Heads up to everyone who assumed the late archery opens on thanksgiving like normal, it opens Sunday. I realized earlier this week, 2 guys at work assumed it opened Thursday as well.  Getting those 4 days off from work and catching the rut is half the reason I archery hunt. Might be looking at modern or a different unit next year.

Late season archery.  I might try for a turkey with a bow.  I have never hunted with a bow before but this weekend I hope to change that.  I know it ain't a spring hunt for the big gobbler but if I manage to get close enough for a shot on a winter bird and score I'll be pretty happy.  Hopefully all the rain won't get in the way.
