when is it time to stop?
« on: August 30, 2008, 07:19:39 PM »
at what point in time do you quit buying guns & scopes? i know i only need one long rifle and one shotgun but i keep buying them, i read the saying "beware of the the man that shoots only one gun" i wish i could rent rifles like movies, but i see one in a magazine and i run out to buy it so i can shoot it. n ow i need another safe, i guess there are much worse things to spend money on.

I truley envy the guys who are happy with just one gun. I really wish I could find a rifle that tripped my trigger that much. I have recently been thinking of buying another barrel for my encore and I cant even make up mind and that :dunno: I usaully start thinking it would be cool to have lets say a 30-30 barrel and shoot the lever evelution ammo then I think well hell its just as easy to buy a .308 hmmm why not a 30-06 hmmmm why not a 300 win mag? never ending battle I guess

Time to stop? Is there such a thing :chuckle:

I'm with Jackelope on this one. If I see something that I like and the time is right I usually buy it. I was down at Four Corners a couple of weeks ago, saw a gun that caught my eye but since the wife and I were on the bike it didn't come home with me. :'(

i think ive picked up 4 in the last 2 years.

i think the right deal at the right time is the way to go.

i mean i was just looking around for a 300 and my buddy's dad just happen to have one he wanted to sell to get a new walther. so i got a fantastic looking remington 700 BDL with a 4-12 redfield scope on it for 300 bucks.  :IBCOOL: the best ones are the ones you stumble on.

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.

Give me 2 centerfires (one big, one small) and a 12ga shotgun and I'm happy....it'll cover all my needs.

Except for this pesky rimfire addiction.
They're just soooo cheap, and it's so sad to see them all rotting away on the shelves of pawn shops. I have to save them all!  ;)
I left it better than I found it...did you?
