we had the same problem saturday with grandpa dickweed. except he blocked off a few miles of road with his truck and was just a total ass when we talked to him. i thought real hard about waiting for him to drive in and then park my rig there and leave it for a day. but we let him have the area and went to plan b and were in elk all day just no branched bulls. one of the reasons i hate rifle season lots of people but my buddy wanted someone to hunt with so i got talked into it.

forks area. Hunted there my whole life and never had that happen. Sometimes there a bunch of rigs sometimes not but everyone I have ran into knows it and deals with it.

Been dealing with doushbags and bullys all my life like everyone here.  During hunting season on public land (all I've ever hunted), I get my jump off spot at least 2 hours before light!  The type of worthless "tuff guys" that act this way are as lazy as they are bad.   They are really pissed when they show up an hour before shooting time and I'm long gone.  No show downs or b.s.  Meeting these types, head to head never ends well, especially for them, so I always try to avoid the meeting.  That said, what others have said is spot on.  Try to talk sensibly with them and if that fails then the decision point is upon each one of us, on how we each deal with blow hards.

p.s.  These types are usually long gone from a gate or trailhead etc., in only a couple of hours or even less......
