If I remember, later on I will try and do a pic tutorial using big hooks and heavy line.

Funny how its easier done then said sometimes. I've seen guys who needle thread the main leader through a yarn ball so they can run eggs below it. So if you det the hook and lose your eggs you're still fishing

i just store my yarn balls in a baggie and put them on the hook and secure with the bait loop, just like eggs.  if you do it right they don't fall off.

for rags, i like to make a loop out of fishing line and tie both the ends to a snap swivel.  then i thread the loop through the rags with a needle, and secure it with the snap(it looks like a bracelet when you do this).   when you need to tie up a leader, undo the snap, slide the end of your leader through the loop and pull a rag on to your leader.  this way, i can keep all my leaders in wallets where they don't take up much space, and don't have to hassle with carrying a big pointy needle in my fishing gear...or have to worry about dropping it in the river when i'm using it.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

Basically, to tie the secondary loop instead of having a short tag along the shank of the hook, make it longer so that you have a loop that is past the bend and run the end that is normally the tag end back through the eye leaving a loop past the bend and a tag in front of the eye at least 1/4" long.  Then procede to tie your normal egg loop over the top of that tag.  To apply your yarnie just thread it on the hook and cinch it up by pulling the tag end in front of the eye then trim off the remaining tag.  It works really slick.  You can run eggs and yarnies at the same time.

Forgive my graphic skills (or lack there of) but here is what I came up with to illustrate the double loop egg knot as taught to me by Houndhunter.

Thanks bro but it only took me 5 minutes.  Thanks for showing me the knot.  I have about 60 leaders already tied up.  Ready to hit the river any time man!
