Looks like a nice old buck, with that blonde head on him. I love the old timers...

I'm *censored*ty at judging width.  (that's what she said)  I was trying to be conservative.  Let's see, 20" ear to ear..... 32"?

deers ears pinned forward is 20-22 depending on how big the mule is.   Conservative, go 20. (width of his head, he is probably a good 22 pinned forward)   A deers ear is 8 average.

mathematically.....22 inches = factor 28
x=.786
Spread equals 38.5 x .786

should be about.........30.3 inches

All dependent on how wide his ears are.   I have a big buck with 24 inch ears pinned forward and a decent buck with 18 inches pinned forward.   So alot of variance.

24 inch ears would equal 33 inch spread.

I thought he was about that when I saw him at first.  I think part of the illusion is him being light beamed.......   I hope he survives and grows to be bigger next year.   There were alot of hungry permit holders out there with their standards dropping every day.....

He is exactly 6” wide. His ears appear to be about 4.375”. :chuckle:

I’d guess him right at 30”, if he’s over it’s not by much. Could be a little under.
