Winchester Model 70 Super Grade Lightweight in .257 Roberts. One of Cabelas' Limited Editions. Been thinking about getting one since I saw a picture in a special Limited Edition brochure Cabelas put out in the spring. They finally arrived about a month or so ago. Searched a few stores and luckily found one with wood I liked, so I jumped on it. From what i understand on other forums, they shoot pretty darn well.

Awesome! Not too many people buy guns anymore for the wood... Its the first thing I look for

Very nice. Yeah, I'm old school when it comes to firearms. Love nice wood. Synthetics just don't float my boat. I remember hearing the following somewhere...............

Awhile back on a Cabelas Club Member sale, I caught a great deal on a new Trijicon AccuPoint 3x9x40 Crosshair Amber Dot scope. Now I know just the rifle to put it on.

That's some nice figured walnut on that rifle stock. Nice rifle...that's one to keep in the family and pass on.

Wood is the first thing I look at on a rifle. Its what makes a classic hunting rifle stand out above others...But then I am a woodoholic...

stainless on a synthetic stock - practical , yes - functional , yes low maintenance, yes - and yet it will always be FUGLY

Nice wood indeed. I love the caliber more though. One fine pea shooter!
