By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Looked at one in McKenna yesterday, looked pretty cool and the weight is wonderful!! Is it accurate Gary?? The "expert" working there told me it shot MOA to 950 meters! :dunno:
Never looked at DPMS before.

Yep, that don't surprise me at all, with good ammo these things will shoot very well. I have one 16" AP4 collapsable stock version and one that was a 24" LR308 but now it sports the 20" SASS fluted barrel. Both are very accurate and super dependable, I would not hesitate to grab one up as things in the gun world are changing very fast, it could be ban time again before we know it  :dunno: but why risk it if you have the free cash to do it now. MagPul makes 20 round poly mags for them too, I probably should order up a couple more real soon.

DPMS doesn't have the best reputation but it could be an interesting platform for a build.
I'd buy an FN FAL before that.

I used to build the FN FAL rifles from kits, finding a regular supply of parts can be difficult and the accuracy simply is not there, DSA's stuff is not great quality any longer from what I have been hearing. The AR10 platform offers way more options than any FAL can even begin to dream of. Otherwise the FAL is a great battle rifle if you want at best a 3 MOA gun.

They had two, a carbine collapsable stock model and an A2 stock longer barrel one, neither one was any where near 10 lbs. The weight is what has kept me away from AR-10's for years.
The carbine was under 1000, the rifle $1000.00.
thanks for your input

Just picked up another r25 in 308. Made by dpms with a remington paint job :chuckle: Been running the same gun in 7mm-08 for awhile and love it. They are very hefty guns. I would also guess it well over the 7lbs.
