Anyone own a Saiga 12 shotgun - reports?
« on: November 12, 2012, 09:54:30 AM »
Looking for folks that might already have a Saiga 12, as I am interested in purchasing one but want to see how the reliability has been for this gun as the Turkish AR style one seems to be junk.  Also interested in the Kel-Tec 15 shot pump, but seems to be hard to get a hold of one right now...  Curious to thoughts on them from those that might have shot one or own..  Thanks..

Buddy of mine has one.  Think he's a member on here somewhere.

I have a Saiga 20.  I have a couple magazines, one is for 2-3/4 the other is for 3" shells.  It's been a very reliable gun.  I don't think there are many 20's out there as I can't find any high capacity magazines for it.  Really a fun gun to shoot.

I have shot a couple always thought about buying one. I have found them to very reliable when taken care of. Just like the AK they are made to go bang everytime. They are not the most accurate shotgun out there for sure. With that being said they lay down a wall of lead quick!

I have had 1 for a few years now and love it. I have the 8, 10, 12 round stick mags for mine as well as the 20 round drum.
I did the folding stock, quad rail, heads up sight, 120 lumen flashlight and the fwd grip.
These shotguns are perfect for home protection. They shot slugs out to 150 yards with deadly results. My 20 round drum is loaded with 3" 00 buck shot. (I double dog dare someone to come looking to do something stupid)
I would say only one thing, They kick a$$.
I will find the pictures of mine here if I get a chance and load them.

Here is a little clip.

Dude, that full auto conversion is bad a$# for sure...  Can't imagine the volume of lead going down range.  OK, on a quest for this gun as of RIGHT NOW!  Of course the semi-auto version but man, what a home protection and maybe neighborhood crowd negotiator with double 00...  Will complement my ARs very nicely...

20 rounds of 00 buck down a stairwell in 2.nothing seconds = a heck of a lot of drywall repair, and an outgunned intruder, lol

I have one I purchased awhile back, shot super light loads and some full dram 00 buck through it. Just to test function and it functioned flawlessly. Tossed it in the safe and haven't touched it since.

Hey mike,

I think the rose city gun show is in portland this weekend at the expo center. Last few shows I have gone to down there multiple dealers had them sitting on the tables. You might check it out, might save you from having to pay sales tax and order from a dealer.
