Knight Bighorn trigger issue....FIXED
« on: November 20, 2012, 11:31:15 AM »
Missed a shot at a bull during eary season.  Rifle fired before I was "on target".  Figured it was the adrenaline.

But I was getting everything ready for tomorrow, and thought I would measure my trigger.  It is less than 2 lbs.  I have never adjusted it down, so is there any reason for its loosing weight?  I'm waiting for a call back from knight's gunsmith.

The only thing I have done with the trigger is spray clean it and then oil it.

Knight called back.  Told me to adjust it up above 3# to what ever I like.  Then to conduct tests to make sure the safety is functioning correctly.

"call back" if anything doesn't function right.

Here are the directions for adjusting a Knight 2 screw trigger - if yours is a 3 let me know.

Keep shooting muzzleloaders - They are a blast!!

I wish I had that problem!

The trigger on my Lyman Deerstalker is around 5 pounds.

I would love to get it down to about 2 1/2 pounds.

Thanks for the info Sabotloader.

I got it set for 3 1/2 lbs.  Repeated on my scale for 12 shots.  Safety checked good.  Even thumped the floor with the butt and it did not fire.

Wapiti watch out!
