Big bro got 1 in Montana
« on: November 24, 2012, 12:45:40 PM »
Montana buck shot on 11-22-12 He watched it on 11-20 for a couple hours and decided to pass hoping for a bigger 1 and then went back two days later and found the buck in the same canyon. He waited for a good shot and closed the deal.

Great looking deer, was it a general tag or special? No way 99% of the people out there would have passed that deer in a general hunt. In a really great area I could see maybe letting him walk early in the hunt.

It was on his in-laws ranch so lots of private property and he claims he has seen bigger. The only thing he told me about size is that it is 27 inches wide. I would have whacked that hog as soon as I seen it but he seems to have more patience than I do.

Yeah that makes sense to me. I would have whacked him to. I am use to my benchlegs and not the true mule deer :chuckle: But with private ground and bigger bucks in the area I can't blame him for shopping around a little :chuckle:
