Looks like something I would use, My feet were really cold last year even with 800 gram boots on.

they are real popular back east where you can hunt almost into december sitting in a treestand.  theyare realllllyyyyyy warm...too warm for me...especially with the weather we have for general seasons around here most of the time.

Probably me too Josh but never too warm for a child. I would rather her be too warm than cold and uncomfortable and never wanting to go again. Thanks for the replys guys, off to Cabelas home page :chuckle:

Huntnphool, I have a pair, have only used them one season when it was really cold. Worked as stated, good product. A bit bulky to pack around much, but it was a cold mofo and I decided it was worth it. If forecast is for way below, I pack them in the truck...

And yes, they look really dorky..... :chuckle:

I bet. Where we sit nobody is going to see her up close, just the occasional idiot looking through his scope at us from the ridgeline

Huntnphool, we do a ton of snowshoeing, and around snow camp, I have a few squares of sleeping mat ( 1/2"  backpacking foam), 16" squares, to break the cold off the bottom of the boots. Just stand or sit with your feet on these, and you break the cold off the bottom of the boot and give your circulation a chance to warm the boot... This also works really well for us.

HTF, them putting the cross hair on you is one thing (no good) but putting them on your daugher is something else.
That Pees me off just thinking about it.
I also have something to stand on. If a person is sleeping on the ground and he's cold you can put 100 blankets on them and they'll still freeze. Cots on hot days are nice too.

Huntingphool, when my boys were really young I got them a good pair of Sorel pack boots.

With a good pair of socks they are plenty warm. They still love them. Definitely not the quietest boots though.
