Well it's officially over for my hunting partner and I. We both tagged out in three days with many elk spotted. We were absolutely dumb-founded at the amount of branched antler bulls around. We seen in total 17 but very few cows. The cows were extremely skittish and hard to get a shot at. Both elk were good shots and nearly dropped in their tracks. First one was 88 yards and fell to a 295 grain Barnes TMZ with 130 grains of T7, and the second one was 55 yards and fell to a 300 grain Parker Hydrocon with 130 grains of Pyrodex. This is the first elk killed with the Parker Sabots and I am thoroughly impressed. The Barnes performed well also. About 550 lbs. of boned out meat between the two of them.
