late muzzle loader elk down.

I got this elk this mourning. shot it with my 54 caliber muzzle loader. shot it at 50 yards and it dropped in its tracks.

I think if I saw that in a spike only area - I wouldn't shoot it.

That thing is such a massive spike I'd have been worried that I was shooting a rag horn and just not seeing the points.

Not sure I've seen a spiker that big before........    Great work.

Edit:   I may have seen a spike that big many years back........   But I'm not going to tell the story of how I shot my ramrod at him......        :bdid:

Record book spike. Congrats. Meat in the freezer. I agree you would really have to look him over before shooting because at first glance you would think rag horn.
