The muzzle brake on the Savage should be adjustable so that you can turn it on or off if that's an issue.

Has anyone had any experience with the savage adjustable break? Seems like a pretty sweet deal.

Here's a video I made a few years ago which shows the difference with the brake on and off.
Savage Striker 300 WSM

I also have an 8.5# 338-375 Ruger rifle with one of these brakes. It was built with a rechambered factory 338 Win Mag barrel. Shooting 250gr bullets at 2825fps with the brake on it feels like a 30-06. There are more effective brakes out there, but it is nice to have the option to turn it off.

Off topic but... Are those strikers considered handguns? And where do you get the stocks?

I"ll start a new topic so I don't hijack this one.

I have a savage .223 and love it. Granted, I am not launching lead 400 yards all the time at yotes...in fact my furthest shot 4 a yote with that gun is 293 yards...closest is about 15 yards (im a western wa hunter). But, I love that gun and would recommend savage to anyone looking for a tack driver.
