I'm headin off for a beer with my mates 5pm here.
I'll have a look when I get home
or maybe tomorrow. I have some somewhere, my Nephew shot a huge scrub bull (cattle gone wild) last week up in the Cape, very tough dangerous animal in the wild. this pig is one of his.

Welcome to the site. Glad you found it. The pictures are great. Keep on posting them.
And I recently bought a Savage rifle and plan to make it into a switch barrell with the 358 Win being one of 3 calibers that I end up with.

Hi Bob,
Welcome to the site and great set of first posts. This is my first year hunting with the 338 Federal, very similar to your 358 Win. I've been shooting 200 grain Accubonds at around 2570 fps. I really like that caliber and agree with you on your assessment of the qualities of the 358.

G'day NWwanderer. That's Mahi or Dolphin Fish we call them, that's the biggest one I've caught we often get them 20kg+. I like going out to the continental shelf fishing the bottom 500-600m deep for big Bass Groper, Blue eye trevala & Hapuku. We catch Marlin, Mahi etc on the way out.

G'day packmule.
I neck size 308 Lapua palmer cases for all my calibers that are based on the 308 case. They have a small rifle primer and I can't hurt them, I'm way over max with my 358 win 225gn pills @ 2640fps , no sign of pressure I've re loaded the same cases at least 15 times. I like 225gn Accubonds for long range but you can't beat Woodleighs, not as high BC but perfect out to 300yds.
