I heard it was pretty slow because of the weather.  Curious for another update as well.

I know of a guy who ate tag soup with the bow.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Pretty tough with a rifle,  I cannot imagine hunting with a bow in late October.   I think 2 of the 3 locals tagged bulls, still have not heard the story from them..  That area can be hard to handle when the fog rolls in for an entire day.  Some of my spike hunters had a tough time that week.  I'm glad guys still apply in the WS and there is still a good hunt there.

:yeah: half way through the second trip out and a guy is telling himself he's giving up elk hunting for good :chuckle: then by application time the following year he's forgot what it was like and ready for round two!

love that country! :)

I know of a group that tagged out in there this year (3 or 4 decent bulls) And they missed one really nice bull, as well as saw one monster with only one antler.
I would rather be a conservative nut job, than a liberal with no nuts, and no job!
