I heard it was pretty slow because of the weather.  Curious for another update as well.

saw a small 5 or 6x in the same camp as a smoker bull... lost count at 9 or 10 on one side  :yike: :tup:

   Pretty tough with a rifle,  I cannot imagine hunting with a bow in late October.   I think 2 of the 3 locals tagged bulls, still have not heard the story from them..  That area can be hard to handle when the fog rolls in for an entire day.  Some of my spike hunters had a tough time that week.  I'm glad guys still apply in the WS and there is still a good hunt there.

My best friend/hunting buddy shot a small 6x6 and it was living hell to get it out of the of the bottom.  Thats hunting the Watershed for you.

 :yeah: half way through the second trip out and a guy is telling himself he's giving up elk hunting for good :chuckle: then by application time the following year he's forgot what it was like and ready for round two!

I know of a group that tagged out in there this year (3 or 4 decent bulls) And they missed one really nice bull, as well as saw one monster with only one antler.
I would rather be a conservative nut job, than a liberal with no nuts, and no job!
