Like most birds I think they will eat about any thing.

what was wierd was how big a pheasant can open its mouth.... i have killed hundreds of em and never opened there beaks....

Well thats better than them eating dog crap. I've cleaned 2 or 3 release site birds now with dog waste in their crop :puke:. Sorry no pics. :chuckle:  I guess they have to survive somehow when there is no available grain.

I've known them to pick corn from cow piles, but dog crap.........yuk!
