So, he's given a mental evaluation showing how easy it is to access gun free zone with a 2x4.  Next everyone that wants to buy a gun will be required to go through a mental veal. to own one.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

Are you guys really against having him arrested? Seems the SRO had it undercontrol right when he entered which completely negated his point. He was trying to make a point; sounds like the police are going to make a point now too.

I would assume disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, and tresspassing to name a few. He does not have a child that goes to school there, he has no business being there. The only point that he made is that he's an idiot. I'm happy to have him in jail.

If he pays taxes to that district he has plenty of business going there.  But I agree, probably not for what he did do there.

:yeah: Come on guys and gals! None of you can honestly believe there was nothing wrong with this. It is an absolutely stupid idea. What did he think would happen? The psych eval may be a little over the top, but it's no different than walking into an airport and telling the ticket lady you have c-4. Nobody thinks it's funny.

No, if he doesn't have a child he is in care of then he does not have a reason to be there unless he has an appointment with someone.

dont know what his agenda was but he did make a point. if he could get into a school with a 2x4 after the recient events, could he have as easily got in with something else??
is he in need of an evaluation, or is he just proving a point that at any time someone can get in. even after an event that we have had in a school full of children. with a 2x4. with writing on it.

of course you can get in! not like they even lock the doors!! you walk right in! no one stands at the front doors and watches! i give him credit for trying! hes done more to prove a point than any of the ones on here calling him a criminal!

Sorry Pro, I just disagree with you. Yeah he proved a point that doesn't mean it wasn't stupid. I could walk into the police station and hold up a paper bag and say it's a bomb. It's a public place that I pay taxes to support so I shoudn't need a reason to be there. Just cause you can do something doesn't mean it's a good idea or that you should do it.  :twocents:

not trying to be insensitive, but i think instead of him being a crimminal he did prove a point in a non threatining way.
did anyone read in the paper about the Marine-Sgt Craig Pulsey that posted himself at an elimentry school in cali ? one man. no rifle. no pay & no breaks??
said when enlisted he swore to defend this country from all enemies, foreign and domestic.
NOW THATS A HERO!!

easy to say if one has kids or one doesn't, but we go to these extremes and say good riddence were just inviting in what we all fear.

SRO had it under control?

He was able to detain a non-violent guy that only had a piece of wood.  For some reason that doesn't make me feel like its safe there.

The kids in that school, having heard of another school with the same name having the shooting last week, were probably already freaked out. This guy could have made his point differently. Freedom of speech comes with its own responsibilities and this guy didn't observe them. He should be charged with criminal trespass and having him evaluated seems like a prudent step for someone who seems to have little judgement.

On a side note:  With the new ban coming, new house construction will all but collapse since 2x4's have now been labeled an "Assualt Weapon".

The very first amendment to the constitution was put in place to guarantee everyones right to do what this guy did. Its the governments job to protect his right to do so. Its important that people do things like this, it may seem inappropriate, but it politicly correctness does not need protecting, its the guy who is exposing truth who needs protecting. He is the one with the integrity to not cave in to manipulated political correctness.  It also is pretty rude and I think he took a chance that someone might beat his @$$ for it.

Not to mention he is being held without bail. He is also probably not allowed to talk to an attorny pending the outcome of the mental evaluation. Due process or is he being held under the patriot act? :dunno: >:(
