wondering where i might go about getting a good blacktail cape and how much i can expect to spend. my dad has a 25 year old blacktail shoulder mount that is looking quite ratty, and id like to get a new cape and have it redone for him.

A lot of taxies will have extra stock capes that they buy for jobs just like that. Michelle has got more then a couple of mine and I have 4 or 5 more for her.
They can very a lot. If you post a picture I might have one in the freezer that would work for ya.

Have you checked with your taxidermist to see if they have one?
I keep all kinds of stock capes in the freezer of all different sizes for clients that need them. I don't like to have to locate capes if I don't have to.
