The Quest for a backcountry bull starts tomorrow!!!
« on: September 12, 2008, 08:51:38 PM »
Well guys, I just got back from a 9 day caribou hunt that was a success beyond belief, and I am leaving tomorrow for an 8 day elk hunt in the backcountry! The pressure is on once again as I will have a camera with me to get all the action that takes place! I will be sure to take a bunch of pictures and hopefully get a good story or two for the magazine! Good luck to all you elk hunters out there.  And I will try and use a satelite phone to get a hold of Charlie and let him know how the hunt is going to keep you guys posted! Take care and good luck to all!
Jon

good luck, jon. hopefully things work out well again for you.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Have a great time Jon, and good luck and be safe.

PS, just in case, don't pass up a 400 bull if you aren't quite into the backcountry yet.   ;)
