« on: December 17, 2012, 08:11:28 PM »
Got my light kit in the mail today can't wait to try it out. Got the kit for 85 bucks and it came with a green light, 2 batteries, A/C and D/C charger and tail cap with pressure switch and universal scope mount Has high, medium, low, S.O.S and strobe mode looking forward to putting it through its paces and giving a further review.

I've never had a sling with bullets in it, so I can't really talk from personal experience, but I have been told that the weight of the bullets swinging on the sling throws your aim off.  the light looks cool.  I have a Primos 350 Yard light that has a mount for a 1" scope.  Tried it a couple of times, and found out that I really don't like night hunting, even though most predators are nocturnal hunters.  I guess old eyes don't do as well in the dark as young eyes do.
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

Haha I have horrible night vision in general bit I'm going
To go for it. I need a huntin buddy so one mvan run the light and call and have the other shoot. I think that would be the better and safer way. Especially calling in cougar country.

No it's C4P light kit new lights for those of us who can't afford the 140+ price tag for other similar lights. Took it out tonight and was able to see out to about 300 yards through binoculars. If the alignment with the scope is right it's an easy 300 yard light. Couldn't try it mounted as there's no guns allowed at the state park I was at and after the recent events I didn't wanna take a chance on gettin Swiss cheesed by the cops if they showed up to investigate my light

YES! by all means, get a buddy to go with you.  Spotlighting is best done with 2 people.  One to hold the light, and one to shoot.  Trying to do both is difficult.  I tried it both ways, and being alone sucks.  Having a buddy along is more fun, and amazingly, you both get a feeling of satisfaction when you DO get one.

The light is awesome haven't hunted with it yet but from what I have seen I'm impressed. It's on hour 3 of constant run time on high mode ad still going strong. Will hopefully make it out this weekend to try to put some dogs down. If your interested in the lights email Marcelo at C4PLights@gmail.com he will get you fixed up. Tell him Diego sent you

How well does that scope mount work?  I know the light is really exactly the same at the others out there... I know the XL250 comes with a scope ring with a rail on top and then use a 1" ring to mount it, looks a little more stable, at least to me.  I have seen several with that particular mount and I have been leery of it, as "universal" and "one size fits all" usually translates "One size fits none well."

Curious of your reaction, and what you think of that mount though.

That mount is solid. I like it it's fast to put on and take off and it doesn't take a whole lot of torque to get it to tighten up solid. I'm not sure how universal it its bit it fits fine on both my 1" tubed scopes. I think on a 30mm the mount wouldn't work as it would. Tighten Down on the light bit so far the one inch is golden
