WAFNAWS Banquet
« on: January 05, 2013, 10:59:54 PM »
Was wondering if anyone here was attending the event in March in North Bend?  Or if anyone has been to one an what to expect.  Never been to any foundation events of any type, kinda looking forward to it.

No doubt it is going to be a good time with a room full of like minded mountain hunters! Live and silent auctions, lots of raffles for guns bows and high end gear; maybe even a sheep hunt!  Check out wafnaws.com for banquet info. Mailings and the news letter coming out in the near future. looking forward to seeing you there.

So one of the sponsor members will actually win a sheep hunt? I've never been to this banquet, but it might be worth donating the money for a shot to go on a sheep hunt!

Ya looks like a hunt for a life member in attendance, just trying to cough up the 300 bucks, weighing if thats good odds. plus life goes up to 500 march 10th.

Yep, it will be a good time. One lucky person will be walking out of the banquet with a $20,000 dall sheep hunt! Just be signed up as a life member ($300) and be at the banquet ($60) and the hunt can be yours. Plus, if you have a sheep mount you want to bring, we will be giving away over a $1000 in prizes just for bringing it to display. Doesn't have to be a WA sheep. All mounted wild sheep are welcome. The earlier you bring it the more chances you get to win (3-1 tickets depending on time) Top prize is your choice of a Mathews bow or Tika 270! We would like to hear from you if you plan on bringing a mount(s) but it is not necessary to call. (Glen 509 305-4187 or Bryan 360 584-2752)
And like Scree said, an evening hanging out with like minded people has to be a good time.

I am a member and dont know but i would assume that as of now there's not many maybe 50. After that night I would guess that they sign up between 50-150 more. Theres usually not a ton of local life members in a chapter and they are capping registration at 300 people. It's a good conservation group and I would hope as many people as possible sign up and support thier efforts in conservation!

No, in prior years they had a general member sheep hunt where you bought raffle tickets.

If this life member sheep hunt giveaway goes as good as we hope/think then we will absolutely continue to give one away every year. But we cannot do it without members and others continuing to support the Washington Wild Sheep Foundation.
