Here's a photo and caption from an old fish and game news magazine from, I'm guessing, the 50's. Notice that this buck only received "honorable mention" in a photo contest.

Not sure where that article came from, but that is the Omohundro buck, taken by Jack Omahundro in 1970 outside of Salmon, Idaho. 5x5, 49 1/2". He actually gave the head away to a friend as he was partial to non-typical bucks. Many of those are still displayed ans Rainbows End B&B in Challis, Idaho!
