It came from the Deep

So, I was out fishing the "Big Lake" on the west side for perch last week and pulled this guy out by accident.  My line got caught on some other line that was out there so I decided to pull in that other line just to get it out of the water and I was rewarded with the biggest crawdad I have ever laid eyes on.   

I have caught a few here and there using my traps but this guy was huge (at least I think so).  The second picture of him on the plate does him more justice.... there was enough meat in his claws even for a few very tasty bites.

we are avid fisherman and shell-fishers, trust me Id love to fill a pot of them too, but its not open.

ya we used to get a ton from the cedar river by hand under rocks, still there too, but the Big W has way better size and breed craws, Mmmmm Yankie Gumbo during the summer I love it!

very  nice. i know a spot on the hump you can catch them by hand and cook them when your camping. good eatin to. nothing that big. Come on guys by the moss on the dock  it looks likes it september.
