im looking in to nez pierce or idaho falls area myself hoping ot go early with a bow if possible

Idaho now huh Pete? We know of a few spots that WERE good but haven't been back in a little while so we aren't sure how good they are anymore...

best practice u can do is take a target into the big timber and walk around it and pick out holes to shoot at it... all the elk I have taken in NE WA and N ID I never have a full clear shot...they are always in the brush
