I heard you won the lottery like 11 times and the fish guiding is just a front so you can get tax breaks and fish at the same time.

Well float fished the Cable Hole, and the run below it yesterday for nothing, then went down and swung the run across from Proctor Creek with my spey rod and had one steelhead on. River looked awesome, parking lot at Reiter was FULL, glad I wasn't there. Nooch bound tomorrow, good luck this weekend everyone.

I am driving down to the nooch tomorrow.  I will be going alone and if anyone wants to ride let me know.  I live in Puyallup.   I also have a 10 foot steelheader pontoon boat as well if you have a pontoon boat as well.

Not sure...    I have never floated the Satsup only banked fished it.  But I have heard that the Steel is starting to come into the river.  If I knew the river better I would choose the Satsup.

Do you have room for one more?

Sadly no.  My brother and I are planning on a late start, and then a trip to the coast for an evening clam dig.  If we had more time to plan it we could leap frog down the river in our drifters.

I live in the county just east of Puyallup.  We should hook up some time.  Pun intended.  :chuckle: :chuckle:

Just drove over the Lewis St bridge. The Sky looks about perfect.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

I went down to the Wynoochee and only saw one fish on the bank.  It was about 11 - 12 lb hen and the belly was starting to darken.  I would have taken it for her eggs.

I started from the bottom at Black and moved to many spots to white bridge.  I did not have time to go up any further.

LOTS, and LOTS of boats on the Satsop.  Way more then on the Wynoochee.   What does that tell you?   :dunno:

probably that they think the wynoochee is crowded. :chuckle:

i took a drive this afternoon, and couldn't find a place to fish.  well, i could've fished the slide hole but the river was up and i don't care much for it(off the bank at least) at these flows.  almost tried crossover but there were some bankie rigs there already and a guy and his kid were getting their boots on, so i didn't want to make that long walk.  from there i was gonna try my "plan b" river but there was a guy in my spot! :bash:, a river that rarely gets fished, or at least used to.

finally i drove up to the hump.  in short, lots of people, no fish.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

Floated from 7400 to Whitebridge yesterday with everyone else. My buddy in another boat and I both went 3 for 4. Couple nice 12-14# chromers. All hatchery fish. Tons of boats and seemed everyone had a fish or two.
