ELK CAPE NEEDED?
« on: September 22, 2008, 08:43:00 PM »
Hey guys...

As you all know Ill be in Iraq this hunting season so Im out of the game. However, I still need a bull cape for my rack from last year. Michelle Nelson has my horns and once I get her a cape she will mount my elk for me.

I can buy one from a taxidermist but I thought maybe someone on here might be able to hook me up?

The bull was a respectable 5x5 rosey. So probably anything 3x3 or bigger would work great.

If anyone finds themself with a bull on the ground close enough to the truck to not break u to hump it out and your not gonna use the cape.....?

Id really appreciate it!

I wish I could be chasing them with you boys!

This site is gonna keep me sane for the next year!

Please coordinate with me or Michelle if someone can hook me up!

Good luck fellas...Ill be watching your successes!

There are several on EBAY that are reasonably priced.

I need a Whitetail Buck cape myself. I lost mine from last season due to a freezer failure from a power outage. Looking for a 7 1/2 x 21 - 23 anybody got an extra?

I know I can get one on ebay...but those are not Rosey and there is a difference... at least to me!

I could buy one from a west side taxidermist for under 300$

but there are a ton of people on here that dont mount a 3x3, 4x4, 5x5, even bigger... ive seen several success stories on here already with a decent sized bull that they didnt keep the cape..

so Im hoping one of those nice fellas that dont need their cape will hook me up??

I know Tmike and catwithboost would be good candidates to hook me up but honestly  what are the chances of them killing a bull....lol?

just kidding!

ps- thats a great way to lose all hope of getting hooked up if ya dont know...lol :P
love ya boys!

If I shoot a calf with milk on it's lips you can have it. But what are the chances of that  :dunno:
