Idabooners Tag

I am hoping this fellow is around this season.  This picture was taken right where I am taking Idabooner for his late permit hunt. Picture was taken during the time period of the season, like Nov 5th or something like that.  Idabooner, you'll have to let me know what you have your trophy standards set at, if you would take this buck or not.

Uhaaa   Well I don't know, looks like his neck is swollen pretty bad and he's guanted up, probably have to use a lot of spice in order to eat the sausage, besides you have bigger horns than that hanging on your wall.      Have to think on that one.
   If it is late in the day and you help me get him up on the mule, I might have to take him. I'm sure this will be the last late tag I get so I don't want to sell out to quick.

What would you guy's do?

I'm with you on this one . At my might not get another late tag (haven't got one yet ) .
As a meat hunter you would have something to chew all winter . As a trophy hunter I,ve seen bigger . I sure would take him in October though .

His beams are a bit thin for my taste, but I love the slick four and even tines.  Depends on how late in the hunt it was.  Considering he was 50 yards above the road with a bank, he might be in danger.  The big blue mule isn't quite as mobile as that *censored* in your field, but it does hold still.  Last big buck I had him haul out Slenk, Idabooner almost had to chew on a mule all winter.  It was a damn good thing I left the 06 at home, but a big fir branch would have done the trick...

that tag is a real good one I have seen several bucks similar to that one over the last few years down there, none bigger though. Id never let that one walk he'd be dead.

Early on I would pass, towards the end of the season I'd probably take him, he's a good looking buck.

He drew the ChiliwistA tag.  Nov1st-18th.  I pretty much know the country like the back of my hand as he lives in it.  I have my ideas where to go.  I photograph there every fall.  If anyone has any great insight that wants to share feel free, but again I know it pretty well.  I'm not sure where the ultimate spot is.  We have seen some dandies though and sure wished we had that tag.  I haven't concentrated much on the Brewster side of things, or Okanogan side.  I may have to check some of that out.  Alot of it will depend on if any of the migration occurs due to October snows.  His hunting legs aren't what they used to be, so we will be concetrating fairly close to roads.  With that limited amount of tags in that huge area, I'm sure that won't be a problem.  Hopefully the general season guys won't blast them all.

Man I been there . Had one outlaw mule that I could ride a little when he wanted to be good , but that never lasted very long . Could pack him but man don't let your gaurd down , he would be gone . Now he is ! Don't have any horses or mules now . Don't get that far off road any more these old legs ain't to good for distance . Got to send you a PM on your moose calls .

I don't think so.  I need to go back and look at the original batch of pictures if I can find them.  I would like a frontal shot too.  I have a photoalbum of pictures that I really like and these were the ones I had in it.  I was within 50 yards of him for almost an hour and I took a ton of pictures.  I remember having trouble with my camera and a bunch of photos didn't work.  I'll see what I can dig out.

For that Chiliwist hunt I would pass at first, and I don't even have a muley mount. I would look at Woody Mt & Fox Mt, but if you know the unit you may have better spots.

I saw 2 VERY nice bucks in the colockum this weekend....of course I did not have my camera.
