And the NRA is the only gun lobby not to give him an F.

Those lobbies giving him an F have direct access to him like the NRA has?

Russ, where is your evidence of this?  Seems he has done nothing to earn the political contribution from the NRA.  In fact, he's been trying to water down the filibuster abilities of the minority party (R's at the moment).

I was hoping to see Chris Christie run for president in the future, but after reading this, I withdraw my support.  He'll be crushed, I'm sure.   ;)

He had NRA endorsement. For one thing, he specifically inserted legislation into Obamacare that protects gunowners information from the health care juggernaught. He appeared with Wayne LaPierre in a video when the two opened a gun range in Nevada together. Wayne thanked Reid for his support of the 2A.

My understanding is that they have since backed off the fight to remove the filibuster.

I too wont vote for Christie. I will vote libertarian if he becomes the nominee even if it means that Hillary might win.

I'm pretty sure the Republican minority leader caved and allowed it to be weakend, not quite what the Dems wanted but bad enough to, I think, essentially remove the ability to prevent a bill from being heard.  The compromise was that the minority party gets to add two ammendments.

As far as I can see, Reid is pro Gun at home or with his hand out but not in DC.

The Republicans are the new French. They Grandstand, complain, obstruct, and then cave. They focus on the wrong issues. Not everyone, but enough.

Democrats took over promising, oh so sure they would not try a gun grab. LIARS!

I watched Chris Wallace be as rude as Pierce Morgan today defending Obama. He told LaPiere that it is him who is an elitist. Wayne explained that the NRA ad was not a call to take protection from the Presidents children but that perhaps a sign is not enough security for everyone else. Wallace would have none of it. Sandy Hook has two sides. One believes that it is a call to turn in firearms. The other side says enough, it is time to do more than a sign. We demand real, actual security. Security that will stop or truly delay if not neutralize an active shooter.

MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.

Camp Obama:

Trumped up failed Fast & Furious plan to institute Federal Universal Background Checks with a registry to make sure that all firearms that have the ability to accept magazines over 10 rounds, (over 80 % of handguns) will not be transferable.

1. All Sandy Hook arguments are based in an emotional debate that has no lawful merit to it but how can you not feel the need to do something? (Something we tell you to do.)
2. Cosmetic accessories, while they do not make the firearm more lethal they are a primary reason to ban Them.
3. This legislation has been floated for 20 years in different forms. The argument is stale but sandy hook gives it new blood. We will see Sandy Hook everywhere.
4. The Democrats have decided what firearms people need.
5. The Media with all of it's might has invested a lot of capital in carrying this theme that it is a forgone conclusion this ban or some of the 23 decrees will be carried out.

Camp 2nd Amendment. Millions of new NRA members. Millions of new Semiauto firearms owners. WELCOME  :hello:

1. Sandy Hook is a tragedy that should not be exploited for political gain or media ratings. It is immoral.
2. Cosmetic features on semi automatic firearms are common and owned by millions of people. This is what protects them in the 2nd Amendment.
3 Fully automatic firearms are restricted because they are not common and difficult to control by the average person. They are not suitable for personal defense. This is similar to the reasons a formula 1 car is not a common vehicle to commute with. Full Auto is not semiautomatic.
4. The NRA believes people should be allowed to choose among the most common defensive weapons they can afford and properly handle. Semi automatic rifles and handguns are the most common. They on average hold 11-19 rounds in a pistol and an AR 15 holds 20-30 rounds. This is the common defensive weapon for law enforcement as well. It makes sense people want access to the best defensive weapons to save their lives and defend their family or property from harm.
5. The media is totally bias on this subject. The problem is law abiding self sufficient people who are not scared and looking for guidance are of no value to the media. We don't need them to tell us what to think. It must scare the crap out of them.

Anyway my 5 reasons the NRA are winning the debate. I have many more but here is five.
The really pathetic thing is the call that we the Lawful Gun Owner must give on something.
Joe Biden himself said nothing he proposes will change anything but he must be given something.
W H Y?
MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.

Yeah, I lost any respect that remained for Wallace after watching that.

A couple of things. 1st, I don't want the NRA giving up ground and they won't. They just sent out a release last week that said over 90% of the membership is against giving any ground. 2nd, many, many, many southern Democrats are pro-2A and have high ratings from the NRA.
