Anything close is worked over and being hunted to death. Lots of 'Hunt by Written Permission" in Whitman county but you'll need to scout it and get a permission slip from the landowner.  We got a permission slip from a fella last week that has @ 6 sections of land and he told us he had already given out 20 to coyote hunters. Theres BLM and DNR in Lincoln Cty but you'll need to spend time and gas to check it out. They are out there but hunting pressure has educated 'em and its really less than good right now. Most guys stop hunting 'em from Feb-Aug to let 'em breed and raise pups.

I own a small chunk of property (20 acres) near Hunters on Lake Roosevelt and have accsess to another 1,000 acres of private property nearby.  All of it posted, but coyotes keep us awake all hours of the night when I'm over at the small cabin we have.  Been kind of thinking I'd like to get them thinned out (I hunt, but have never really chased yotes).  They've really bunched up in that area as it is all private.  I might consider allowing a responsible group accsess to the area.
