a simple medium sized open read distress call will work year round. get two....one reason, is they will make a little bit different sounds, the other......because you may leave one at a stand, and then discover this when arriving at the second. :chuckle:

I'm told that the "Female Invitation" call is bringing them in this time of year.  Tried it yesterday with no takers, but like they say, you can't call in what isn't there!  :chuckle:
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

Know the wind, try & shade urself or hav a back drop, don't over call, if nothing is working mix it up. I used a distress the other day, after about 20 of nothing I played distress with a few howls over it, wamoo a double showed up. Most hilarious double I ever got after the second jumped off about a 30 foot bluff & busted herself up.
Keep tryin, the amount u see in the house is slim.
Take'em boys!

:) I think, with in reason, that the sound you make might be the least important thing in calling. Most any kind of sqwack er squeal will work.
