Commerce law offers some protection on home built guns...but it is complicated. I would look at the home gunsmith forum.....lots of info there.

:yeah: but  :bdid: for that type of research. Better believe they have eyes looking for individuals doing this sort of thing. Not hard to keep track of keywords and phrases.

ALWAYS nice to be prepared. Just like preppers learn to hotwire cars, pick locks, build gas masks out of charcoal. Its assentials that you may need to know if this country does fall. Law will no longer mean anything and people are going to be frantic. Cant say Im looking forward to that day, But I dont believe its not in our generations future.

The terms "zip gun/ pipe gun" are pretty open, and it may mean one thing to the author and a different thing to a reader.

So I just note that, while your understanding might not fit the AOW category subject to NFA laws, another might.

"Any other weapon" is a "catch-all" category. An AOW as defined as "any weapon or device capable of being concealed on the person from which a shot can be discharged through the energy of an explosive," other than a handgun with a rifled barrel.[2] This umbrella definition includes many improvised firearms ("zip guns") and disguised firearms. Examples include wallet guns, cane guns, knife guns and pen guns.[18]
AOW is a complex and often misunderstood category of NFA firearms. Less obvious examples of AOW devices include:
