I was thinking of painting the frame on my glock but I have a couple questions......

What kinda paint to use?
Dose it hold up good? (I don't want it looking like crap peeling off in a month)
Any other tips would be highly appriciated?

I would use dura-coat.. it's a two part epoxy based.. can get it in about any color.. you can use an airbruch, but I used the one that came with an aerosol type spray.. if you can Krylon something you can do it.. make sure you degrease it good first though..

dura coat is good.

if you don't want to use an airbrush or duracoat go to a john deer store and get a rattle can of primer. that stuff is indestructible, even on hard edges that get a lot of wear. then cover the primer with what ever paint you want  I have done this with a few duck guns and it has outlasted other guns that I have duracoated.
