Can you help?
« on: September 24, 2008, 06:27:31 PM »
So I went to a private high school and a couple years ago a auction was started to help raise money for kids who could not afford to go to that school. So to help the cause I donated a upland bird hunt for one for two days. I have spots that I go to and enjoy but I want to make sure this goes well so I can donate again this school year. the guy who bought the hunt I do not think has hunted before so does anyone have any hot spots or land that they would let me bring this guy to for a weekend? I would not even mind you coming along if you wanted to. Any advise and help is appreciated. Thanks

I normally hit the farthest east I go first which is in St.John  and Endicott area and then head west. I am open to anything. My main goal is to show this guy a good time and hopefully get him a bird or two.

Ross,

Don't mean to be a downer but I have been all over that country archery hunting this year and the birds are few and far between, even on the really good places.   Send me a PM and I might be able to help you out.  JJ

I love to hunt the last 4 - 6 weeks of the season.  The colder the better.  I like to wait for the amateurs to go home or wimp out then we go and clean up.  I have some great spots and even in the worst of seasons we do very well.  We put in a lot of boot time but its worth it.

PM me and we can discuss.

The pheasant hatch was bad in endicott - st. john. As I read your post you say somebody bought this hunt? I'd be worried. I've been down twice and only seen a handfull of birds.
